Theatre Nurse Jobs in the North West

The platinum belt shapes theatre work in the North West. Rustenburg and Brits carry mining injury, orthopaedic and general surgical volumes that few provinces match per head of population, and mine health services run their own clinical demand alongside the hospitals. Further south, Klerksdorp and Potchefstroom form the province's second clinical centre, with Mahikeng, Lichtenburg and Vryburg serving wide agricultural catchments.

Nursing Services of South Africa places scrub, anaesthetic, recovery, floor and CSSD staff across the province, on single shifts, weekend lists and longer block bookings.

Theatre roles we are placing in the North West

  • Scrub nurses for general, orthopaedic, gynae, urology, ENT and ophthalmic lists

  • Anaesthetic nurses for induction, airway assistance, monitoring and drug checks

  • Recovery and PACU nurses for post-anaesthetic observation, pain management and ward handover

  • Floor and circulating nurses for counts, stock, positioning, specimens and runner work

  • CSSD and sterile services staff for decontamination, packing, autoclave and tray assembly

  • Day surgery and endoscopy nurses, with shorter lists and more predictable hours

  • Theatre unit managers and shift leaders for units short on senior cover

If you want orthopaedic and trauma scrub experience, the North West will give you more of it in a year than most provinces give you in three.
