September Open Days 2026
/September Open Days 2026: Register with NSSA in One Sitting
Nursing Services of South Africa has been a trusted name in South African healthcare since 1943. We connect nurses, locum healthcare professionals and care workers with quality roles across the country, and we are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
This September, put South Africa's longest-standing healthcare agency behind your career. Walk into our Bellville office in Cape Town any Wednesday or Friday between 09:00 and 15:00, or book a 20-minute video slot online. Either way, hand over your documents and leave fully registered in a single sitting.
Who these Open Days are for
Our Open Days are open to healthcare professionals at every level and in every discipline, not only ward-based nurses. If you hold a valid registration with your professional council, you can register with us.
Nurses of all categories
Enrolled nurses and enrolled nursing auxiliaries
Speciality nurses, including theatre, ICU, NICU, paediatrics, emergency, renal and dialysis, oncology, psychiatric, occupational health and infection control
Locum healthcare professionals across all specialities
Radiographers, sonographers and clinical technologists
Physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and audiologists
Pharmacists and pharmacist's assistants
Paramedics and emergency care practitioners
Dietitians, psychologists, social workers and counsellors
If your discipline is not listed, come anyway. We place across the full spectrum of healthcare and we will tell you honestly what demand looks like in your field.
What you'll need to bring?
To complete your registration in one sitting, bring:
Your professional council registration and receipt: SANC for nurses, HPCSA for health professions, SAPC for pharmacy, or your relevant regulatory body
Your ID (original or a certified copy, the ID specifically must be certified)
Qualifications, and your practice number if you hold one
Indemnity cover
Immunisation records
Banking details
Missing one item? Still come. We will register everything we can and tell you exactly what to send through afterwards.
When and where
When: every Wednesday and Friday throughout September 2026
Time: 09:00 to 15:00, walk in any time, no appointment necessary
Where: 107 Voortrekker Road, Bellville, Cape Town (get directions) OR online, anywhere.
What to expect when you arrive
Don't worry about finding your way. Head to the front desk and security will point you straight to our recruitment team. From there we have you covered: a friendly walkthrough of the agency, your documents loaded safely onto your Staffshift profile, and everything you need to get started.
Can't get to Bellville? Register virtually
We are holding virtual open days on the same September dates, in 20-minute video slots, wherever you are in the country. Book a virtual slot, show us your documents on camera or send them ahead, and we register you without you leaving home. This is the route most locum professionals outside the Western Cape take.
Why register with NSSA?

24/7, 365 support: compliance and placement support does not stop at 5pm
Compliance made easy: your file is verified properly the first time, so there are no delayed clearances down the line
Competitive pay, weekly payouts and candidate-centred support from a team that knows the industry inside out

-
No. Open Days are for healthcare professionals who haven't yet registered with us. If your existing file needs updating, contact your consultant instead.
-
Your SANC, HPCSA or SAPC registration must be valid to practise. If it is due to expire or needs to be restored, follow the relevant process with your council directly. Once you are registered with NSSA, nurses can sign up for our SANC Fee Payment Plan and spread the annual fee across the year instead of paying it in one lump sum.
-
Once your file is verified on the day, our consultants start matching you to available shifts based on your speciality, experience and availability.
-
You are paid weekly, directly into your registered bank account. Full pay details are confirmed when you are offered a shift, so you always know exactly what you will earn before you accept it.
-
Beyond hospital wards: old age homes, provincial and military hospitals, occupational health, clinics and consulting rooms, events, home-based and RAF-funded care, and rural outreach projects.
