What is Basic Life Support Training? 

Basic life support training is a complete training course dedicated to identifying risks and assisting patients with CPR and other life saving measures. You will be given training in identifying potentially life-threatening emergencies, and how to act appropriately to help your patient.  

Courses typically focus on providing practical procedures on: 

  • Providing high-quality chest compressions 

  • In-depth training on using AEDs or otherwise known as Automated External Defibrillators. These are used in cases where patients have suffered from sudden cardiac arrest.  

  • Other techniques and skills which are vital in emergency treatment. 

What does BLS Training Include? 

The courses our reputable training providers have on offer are internationally accredited and with the guidance and coaching of nursing practitioners, you will be given clear and concise training on: 

  • You will be trained on the chain of survival, specifically focused on the BLS components  

  • The correct and most affective CPR practices for infants, adults and children 

  • Effective ventilations using Barrier devices 

  • The use and maintenance of AED devices 

  • Multi-rescue, and how teams assist each over during an emergency 

  • Relief of choking, with training on how to relieve object obstruction in the patients' airways
