Nursing Services of South Africa is hiring Registered Nurses to work in nursing homes in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate is compassionate, adaptable, and skilled in providing care to elderly and mentally ill patients. Experience in frail care, psychiatry, geriatrics, and hospital settings is beneficial.

  • Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) 

  • Shifts: Monthly Shifts 

  • Pay rates: Earn up to R203.84 * per hour 

  • Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng (view map) 

Key Responsibilities for this Nursing Home RN Vacancy 

  • Provide compassionate and professional care to elderly and mentally ill patients. 

  • Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and assist with daily activities. 

  • Respond to emergency situations and provide necessary medical interventions. 

  • Assist with mobility support, fall prevention, and end-of-life care as needed. 

  • Document patient care and progress using electronic health records and other systems. 

Requirements 

  • Experience in frail care, psychiatry, geriatrics, or hospitals (medical wards/outpatient wards) is beneficial. 

  • Previous management or charge nurse experience is beneficial. 

  • BLS and wound care experience is beneficial but not necessary. 

  • Strong computer skills for administration tasks, including familiarity with patient record systems.
